Detailed description

A cap used as a helmet - how does it work?
Head protection in BangProof products is thanks to a composite consisting of high-tech materials that absorb impact energy, and layers of cut-resistant materials. The product combines the function of effective head protection with the look of a regular baseball cap or a currently fashionable hat. In order to prevent the cap from slipping off the head, it is equipped with a strap and a buckle for its fastening. A special feature of the energy-absorbing material applied is that it is soft in normal conditions but hardens during an impact to absorb kinetic energy.
Starting the production of certified helmets for water sports is the result of several years of research and development work. As the originators and at the same time the owners of the company reveal, establishing cooperation with partners from abroad enabled them to acquire the relevant know-how and the initial certification of the product in accordance with EN standards. These two facts, combined with the support of outstanding athletes of various water sports, enabled the global expansion of this Polish brand. Later this year BangProof is planning to produce and certify its products on this market and in the nearest future the company is planning to create helmets for sports like skiing or cycling.

Additional information

The founders of BangProof, including the main originator of the project - Przemyslaw Drosik, are active sportsmen in both water and winter sports. Przemek is, among others, a multiple gold medalist of the Polish Championships in wakeskate. The idea for the product appeared as a solution to the problem - helmets are ugly, uncomfortable and heavy, and as a result, people who practice sports (including extreme sports) do not want to wear them. This was also true for the partners in this project.

The prototypes of the caps-helmets were tested by world-class wakeboarders (Sam De Haan - Vice Champion of Europe and Africa 2019, multiple champion of the Netherlands), wakeskaters (Maxime Giry - World Champion, multiple champion of France) or kayaking professionals (Bartosz Czauderna - Vice Champion of Europe 2018, multiple champion of Poland) . BangProof products have received awesome reviews and is of great interest among people practicing these sports. The subscriptions for the crowdfunding campaign, fueled by films, photos and statements of athletes already supported by BangProof, went very well and the campaign itself may turn out to be one of the most successful in the history of Polish companies.

BangProof offers two models of helmets: classic baseball cap (SnapBack) and extremely fashionable hat (Bucket). Both models have the BangProof logo on the front and a chin strap to fix it on the head.
